Daniela Jauk-Ajamie, Ph.D. (Acron University, Ohio): FLINTA* and TERF and its impact in adult education

Our project FemQueer has been running since last September. Nowa, Verein Männer Geschlechterthemen and the Peace Institute are working together to facilitate dialogue for gender equality in adult education. We want to initiate taking up positions together in ways that no group is excluded.

Gender equality is a major challenge not only for society, but also for organizations working in adult education. Gender equality is important to create a learning environment and framework in which participation of EVERYONE is possible and all learners, regardless of their gender identity, are valued and respected. The term TERF (trans exclusionary radical feminism) is discussed widely, yet many feel unsure about how to take up positions in their professional environment.
